olá! 

i'm mateus coelho, a group creative director/copy based in new york and caetano's father. 
since i started my career back in brazil, i've strived to create something unusual while making brands more relevant and shareable.

here are the places i’ve worked and the good memories i collected from each of them.

ogilvy health | since ‘25
- started the new year with a new email address, a new office badge, and the same eagerness to create something new


area 23 | ‘24 - joined mccann health ny, which later merged with area 23, as part of their brand new creative bank team
- worked on HCP and DTC projects for over 20 clients across a wide range of therapeutic areas, including immunology, oncology, and mental health
- got a like on my linkedin post by the man himself, tim hawkey

tbwa\chiat\day | ‘21 > ‘23
- got my first experience abroad
- was promoted to creative director less than a year after arriving at newark airport with 11 suitcases and boxes, two cats, a dog, a mother-in-law, a wife and a son
- met billie jean king
- won some pitches
- oversaw global work
- helped chiat’s healthcare joint venture, the health collective, become the fourth-best healthcare agency of the year at the cannes lions festival

africa  | ‘16 > ‘21 - broke a world record
- helped our client become the best-selling beer in brazil
- made a film that inspired a client’s employee to quit his job to spend more time with his son
- joined as part of a team of 5 people and left as part of a 20+ people team

santa clara  | ‘14 > ‘16
- planted a bunch of trees
- started as a freelancer and became a group lead
- designed a campaign layout on keynote
- switched outfits with my partner for a carnaval party

- turned slam windows into art frames
- got my work exhibited at an art gallery in padua, italy
- went to cannes as a young lion

new360  | ‘09 > ‘13
- left a stable job for an internship
- won my first international award
- represented brazil in the dangerous environment of an advertising young talents competition in argentina
- made a tv commercial I was really proud of until a new creative director came and showed how bad it was
